MOUNT LIFE

Mount Eden Domain is located in southwest of Auckland with about 5 minutes driving distance from CBD. Mount Eden Domain is the dormant eponymous volcano and also the highest non-manmade point in Auckland at 196 meters high. The impressive bowl-like crater is 50 meters deep and has cattle that graze on its pastures. 

Mount Eden Domain is also known in Maori as Maungawhau which protected from damage, as an archaeological site, by the Historic Places Act 1980. It is a great vantage point providing panoramic 360-degree views from the top especially for night time. The summit is accessible by both foot and vehicle meanwhile Auckland city council also arranges shuttles to here. Mount Eden Domain a popular place to get some great photos of Auckland and offers an impressive sight of Auckland.
